Puzzled?
You won't be for long. The wall recently erected by Gillman Housing for their construction on Main Street, Donwtown Newport, will be the site for the "Kids Fit Vermont" activity during the 2nd Annual Art on Main event on September 28th from 10-4.
The wall will be painted white and puzzle pieces will be stenciled on to it. During the event, kids will be given colored chalks to create their own works of art. All kids are invited to participate.
Art Fits Vermont is a project of the Vermont Arts Council. They have distributed wooden puzzle pieces throughout the state for artists to create their magic. Completed wooden puzzle pieces by area artists will be on display throughout the Art on Main venue. The Arts Council Mobile Van will be on hand to promote the Art Fits Vermont project.
To Celebrate the 2nd Art On Main event, the Collaborative has printed a poster using the Leave of the Northeast Kingdomfrom that project created for the 1st Art on Main.
The posters are 18 x 24, glossy finfish, perfect for framing. Cost: $10
Posters are available during business hours at the Center and will be available at Art On Main.
